To a large extent, I have always been a graphic designer, even before the term was coined.
I began sketching and drawing cartoons in the third grade.

When I bought my first computer in 1987, I began graphic design work utilizing the tools at the time. Keep in mind this was way before windows ever came on the scene.
I enjoy designing, as much as I enjoy working on cars. both present challenges, and a great feeling of reward when completed.
I will likely do design & publishing work in some fashion as long
as I am alive. About 40% of the work I have done has been either non-profit or for fun.
I am ready for my next challenge! Do you have one for me?

The background image above was done in July 2000, using ImageFX on my Amiga.
I used various layers to create the background hillscape, which is in California,
where the foreground is a photo of my daughter flying a kite in Washington State.
This image appeared on the cover of a magazine in August 2000.
