Detailed Summary of SkillsI began graphic design on my personal Amiga computer in 1988, which I still own and operate to this day. I also have a high end Macintosh G4. I have been heavily trained on the Mac platform, and prefer it over most other platforms. I use all the latest desktop publishing, image processing, video production and text related programs available to it. While I have had only specific training in certain programs from seminars or one on one training from the various software producers (i.e. Adobe, Apple, etc.,) I have always found working with computers simple and fun, and use my creativity to help both my work and in my personal life. Specific Computer Skills: As a graphic designer, I enjoy the challenge of learning all programs to have the tools with which I need to use in both my personal and professional life. As a result, I have taken courses in, and use on a daily basis, the following programs:

Specific (Linux/Web) Computer Skills: As a result of switching positions within the companies I have worked for, I have become quite familiar with unix/linux operating system, and have installed many linux based servers in the past few years. This includes full linux install and setup (Red Hat/Fedora/ Enterprise, Debian, Yellow Dog, SuSE), including Apache, MySQL (Certified), Sendmail, Perl, Webmin, PHP, etc. Management and Administrative Skills: In addition to the listed duties in my previous job descriptions, I have also had extensive training in, and performed the following tasks in various supervisory roles: employee relations (communication, dispute resolution, etc.,) human resource management, upper level accounting including AP, AR, PR, GL, budget and forecasting, scheduling (80+ employees), equipment & supply assessment and ordering, inventory, inside/outside sales, training development and implementation, and much more. |
